How a Playlytix playtest works.

From your build to a decision, shown on one example playtest.

One playtest, start to finish.

Project 07: a co-op survival roguelite, 24 anonymous players and three questions to answer.

Watch the tape. Then read the stats.

Your playtest comes back as recorded sessions with AI-marked moments, and a dashboard of every answer.

    The tape

Silent gameplay, with the AI moments and the transcript beside it.

    • Transcripts checked by our team
    • Anonymous to you

    The stats

Every answer scored and charted. Filter a group of players and every figure recomputes.

    • Our team reviews and scores every submission; AI helps us summarise.

    Your build and the players

    What can we send?

A PC build, as Steam keys or an offline build: an early concept, a vertical slice, a Next Fest demo or Early Access. Plus the questions you want answered, and an NDA if you want one.

    How many players?

From about 10 to about 100, depending on your questions and on single- or multiplayer. For multiplayer games we organise the group sessions.

    Who are the players?

Players from our community, picked by our team for your game from their Steam play history and their profile.

Do we see who they are?

No. Players are anonymous to you: you get their answers and, where they agreed, their gameplay and a transcript of what they said, never a name or a contact.

Can we talk to the players?

Communication goes through Playlytix. Tell us what you want to ask and we take it to the players.

    Results, cost and timing

    What do we get?

Your private studio portal and the results dashboard: the scores, filters and AI-assisted summaries, and, where players agreed, the gameplay recordings with transcripts and AI-marked moments.

    Do you test for bugs?

Players report the bugs they hit, and you see them, but our playtests are built to answer design questions: is it fun, is it clear, would they play again.

    What does it cost?

It depends on your build, how many players you need, single- or multiplayer, and what you want to learn. Tell us about your game and we’ll send you a plan and a price.

How long does a playtest take?

We agree the timeline with you before we start. Results appear in your dashboard as players submit, so you’re not waiting for one big report at the end.

Can we test again after fixing things?

Yes. Send the new build and we’ll run the next round.

Can we see a real report?

The games we test are still in development and under NDA, so every example on this page uses made-up data. They show the same kind of results you’d get.

    Tell us about your game.

Send us your build and the questions that decide it. We match the players, run the playtest and come back with answers.
